History Of The Awapuhi Plant
Paul Mitchell spent a lot of time in Hawaii and admired the way of life of the people. Very quickly he noticed the beneficial properties of the Awapuhi plant and that the locals used it a lot in their daily body and hair care.
So he created the organic farm in Hawaii together with company co-founder John Paul Dejoria in the early 80s.
The Awapuhi plant found in the composition of Paul Mitchell products is 100% organic and its origin is from this farm. It dries completely naturally by exposing it to the sun. When its roots are thoroughly dried, it is then sent to the Model Innovation Center in Santa Clarita, California for the production needs of Paul Mitchell products.
Natural management at all stages of cultivation and production preserves the healing benefits of the plant in the best possible way.
The Awapuhi range of products is also Paraben & Gluten free and can be used on colored hair. It is worth mentioning that with organic farming and energy-saving production methods, the environment is protected.
